Name: Eugene Jack Douglas
Nickname/s: Jack
Age: Unknown
Sex: Male
Species: Human
Birth date: October 31st
Birth place: Unknown
Homeplace: Currently living at an orphanage
Powers:
Relationships: Elisabeth (Nurse) Vivian (New girl and roomate) Hugin (pet)
Vivian, another young child without any parents likes him as a friend or maybe something more than a friend. Eugene is supposed to make her feel at but many has questioned how he can do that.
Biography: Eugene was left at the front door at the Black Rose Orphanage of Bristol somewhere in the middle of the year 1975 or 1984. He got his own room in a tower and as he got he started to read all the books that the Orphanage owned, he then asked for other books and newspaper as he had read trough the them, an it continued on for years like this. Elisabeth, who was a nurse at the orphanage had found him at the doorstep when he was a baby and was also getting the books he asked for.
In her eyes he was a lonely child who didn't really fit in with the other children, but she still encouraged him to spend as much time as possible with the other kids. After a fight with one of the older boys he fell into a river during the winter and suffered a month of fever and had to stay in bed for a month. The boy had 'bullied' Eugene by ripping him oof his Eyepatch. None of the other kids or staff that was also there saw if Eugene was one eyed or not, it happened so fast. The boy dropped it in the lake, who's name is Danny, and Eugene jumped after it and slipped. A man who was passing by and Elisabeth brought Eugene back to the orphanage, he had his eyepatch covering his eye as they went back.
Eugene was soon a known character by the children in Bristol, not for the winter bath, but for being so much indoors. He did go out diring the evening and night, for some fresh air, but only the Elisabeth knew that he did that. The other children, with the some exceptions, didn't talk behind his back. They do fear him, but it is with respect, as when the children do see him or meet him they admire his knowledge about certain things, like maths or history.
When a young girl who suffered from both Spectrophobia (fear of mirrors and one's own reflections) and Nosocomephobia (fear of hospitals) arrived to the Orphanage, Eugene was chosen to keep her company as the staff tought he wouldn't mind about having someone to keep him company so that he can share his knowledge and get some friendship in return. Vhad no problem with getting new friends at the orphanage, which to Eugene meant she didn't need someone to look after her. She went out with the other kids while he was inside reading or writing, and he went out during the night when she was sleeping.
He is very interested in myths and legends, viking and greek mythologi is his speciality altough he doesn't openly admit that. To make it interesting, a petshop owner, Mr Cardiff, gave him a raven as a birthday gift. The female raven was twice as large as a normal sized raven. He had named it Hugin, after one of the two raVens Odin had, Hugin and Munin who would go around the world informing him about certain things that had happened. Eugene see much off himself in her as for her dark black colored feathers and dark eyes and as it was not easy to spot her in the dark.
Information and any extras: Eugene reads alot, it can be about physics, psychologi, botany, mathematics, history, chemistry, different languages and cultures in the world, religion (all of them), and biology. He reads the newspaper as much as possible and writes down what he thinks about different issues and problems, the causes and the ways to prevent them.
